Funeral Flowers for Linn Crematorium
Linn Crematorium sits high on Glasgow's south side, off Lainshaw Drive near Castlemilk, with a long view over the city from its hilltop position. It is one of two municipal crematoria run by Glasgow City Council; Daldowie, the other, lies out to the east.
Funerals come to Linn from Castlemilk, Cathcart, Croftfoot, Pollokshaws, Giffnock and Clarkston, and from over the boundary in East Renfrewshire and South Lanarkshire.
The building is ringed by gardens of remembrance where ashes may be scattered or interred. Here is what a south-side florist would tell you about flowers for a service at Linn.
Flower Policy
Whatever shape the tribute takes, a ring of blooms, a coffin spray, floral letters, a small posy from grandchildren, a Glasgow florist can have it at Lainshaw Drive on the day. Exceptionally big constructions should be raised with the funeral director first, in case the venue needs notice.
The flowers go up the hill before mourners do; timing is settled between the shop and the crematorium staff. When the committal closes, tributes come out for the company to see. Families keep them, let them lie a while, or send them on to a care home, decide beforehand and the funeral director will pass it on.
Delivery Guidance
Name the person the funeral honours, give the hour and date, and write the venue as Linn Crematorium, Lainshaw Drive. Glasgow has a handful of crematoria, and 'Linn' on the label is what keeps a driver off the road to Daldowie.
Cathcart, Shawlands, Giffnock and Castlemilk florists all climb to Linn regularly; shops in the city centre manage it without difficulty too.
If the morning feels too tight, the tribute can wait overnight at the funeral home and ride out with the hearse.

Which areas does Linn Crematorium mainly serve?
Glasgow's south side above all, Castlemilk, Cathcart, Croftfoot, Shawlands, Giffnock and Clarkston, plus families from East Renfrewshire and the South Lanarkshire edge.
